Don't listen to the bad reviews!
I really feel like the
people that rated this movie poorly either didn't see the movie and just
wanted to give it bad press, or had no idea what the movie was about.
The acting and effects of the movie were beyond my expectations, and as
far as the storyline, it was Pride and Prejudice. I love the book and
movie Pride and Prejudice, I also love zombie movies so this movie was
the perfect fit for me. That being said, I feel that this movie would
appeal to anyone who enjoys the zombie genre. I had a lot of fun during
this movie, I was pleased that it didn't take itself seriously, yet I
enjoyed the depth of the characters. I equally laughed and jumped at the
shocking moments throughout this movie, and enjoyed every moment. I
also must include that I almost didn't see this movie, because of the
bad reviews. However, I am very glad that I didn't listen, because I
feel like since this is a beloved classic book with zombies people may
be upset that this movie was made in the first place. I am a huge Jane
Austen fan, I find it a refreshing fun take on the storyline.

Deadpool is a 2016 film
that the eighth film in the X-Men franchise where The Merc with the
Mouth seeks revenge in a humorous way.
Wade Wilson is a mercenary who spends his time in New York City protecting teenage girls from would-be stalkers. He meets escort Vanessa Carlysle at a local bar and they become romantically attached for nearly a year. He proposes to her one night, then he suddenly collapses and is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Though she remains by his side, he fears losing her.
One night at the bar that he met Vanessa, he is approached by a recruiter from a secret program. He is offered an experimental cure for his cancer, but he rebuffs the man and leaves. Desperate to live, he reconsiders and leaves Vanessa in the middle of the night to undergo the procedure. He is injected with a special serum by Francis Freeman and tortured for days by Angel Dust in order to trigger a mutation. After weeks of no success, Wade is strapped into an airtight chamber after insulting Francis. The drop in oxygen triggers a healing factor that removes his cancer, but severely disfigures his face and skin in the process. He escapes from the chamber by blowing it up and attempts to kill Francis, only stopping when he claims he can cure Wade's disfigurement. He is then impaled by rebar and left for dead in the destruction of the lab.
Although he tracks her down, he cannot come to terms with his complexion, and he keeps himself away from Vanessa. Wade moves into the home of an elderly blind woman named Al, and with the advice of his best friend Weasel, he becomes a masked vigilante named "Deadpool", and begins hunting down Francis and dismantling his organization.
Following a string of leads from various syndicates, Deadpool attacks a convoy of cars on an expressway before getting his hands on Francis, demanding for a cure to his disfigurement. The confrontation is suddenly interrupted by the X-Men Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, who want him to join the team. Their intervention enables Francis to run off, and when Colossus handcuffs himself to Deadpool on their way back to the X-Mansion, Deadpool cuts off his own hand and escapes back to his home.
The next night, Weasel convinces Deadpool to go back to Vanessa, but when they arrive at the strip club she works at, Deadpool discovers that she has been kidnapped, and Francis and Angel Dust tell him to meet up with them on a decommissioned aircraft carrier at a scrapyard.
Deadpool convinces Colossus and Negasonic to help him, and the trio take a cab to the scrapyard, where Colossus and Negasonic have a grueling battle with Angel Dust while Deadpool slashes through an army of goons on his way toward Francis. Deadpool and Francis then engage in a bloody hand-to-hand combat before Negasonic uses her power to destroy the aircraft carrier. In the end, Deadpool gains the upper hand in the fight and Francis admits that there is no cure for Wade's disfigurement. Although Colossus urges Deadpool to spare Francis and be a true hero, he shoots Francis in the head, finally killing him and avenging himself. Deadpool removes his mask and shows Vanessa his new face. Though she is angry that he left her, she accepts him and they reconcile by kissing.

Horrendous writing and awful Kardashian plugging.
I really wanted to like
this show. I've read so many good reviews by many well-respected media
outlets and I cannot figure out why. This script is so cheesy and just
ridiculous. I have a legal background and cannot keep track of the legal
blunders....hugely distracting already. Also, why does John Travolta's
mouth seem to be almost completely wired shut? Shapiro didn't, and
doesn't, talk that way! That's a mannerism that would be more
appropriate in an SNL sketch....not in a serious drama. I'm utterly
disappointed.
On a final note....please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP plugging the Kardashian kids every chance you get. They do NOT belong in this storyline anywhere and it makes me want to vomit. Just stop and try to stick to the facts....and get some video footage for John Travolta to study.

If you follow the life
lessons from "How To Be Single" you could possibly pick up some sexually
transmitted disease and most definitely will remain single for the rest
of your natural born life. Essentially this is a chick flick and no
male has any right to challenge it's view point, but I will. Why are
males always represented as bastards? We are simple creatures with
simple needs not like you complex females. We need good loving, good
company and good food. End of story. For all of the the above we will
remain loyal obedient creatures for life, a bit like your dog. Dakota
Johnson, Rebel Wilson, Leslie Mann and Alison Brie form an unofficial
lonely hearts club in New York City...just looking for Mr Right and
often sleeping with Mr Wrong. The message from this movie is supposedly
that we need to learn how to be single in a world filled with
ever-evolving definitions of love...however the main characters never
seem fulfilled until they have met their soul mate after bedding
hundreds of potential candidates. How To Be Single is at times a funny
movie mainly thanks to the Aussie one woman invasion force of Rebel.
Some of you may find too many home truths in this film. If you like Sex
and the City, but hated 50 Shades this may be for you. Did I mention
there is a lot of sleeping around in the city that never sleeps as
Starship once sang. In fact I doubt 24 hours goes past when any of these
characters are not in some type of relationship. If you're really
looking for a guide to the single life this ain't it, but it could be a
fun date movie with no sport involved. Personal Highlight: the sauna

Cast: Casey Affleck, Anthony Mackie, Chiwetel Ejiofor Woody Harrelson, Aaron Paul, Kate Winslet, Norman Reedus.
Plot: A gang of criminals and corrupt cops plan to kill an officer to pull off the biggest heist yet across the town.
Casey Affleck stars as Chris Allen the nephew of Sergeant Detective Jeffrey Allen (Harrelson) the cop behind the investigation of catching the criminals, and figuring out who the corrupt cops are. Terrell Tompkins (Ejiofor) is the leader of the corrupt cops lead by Irina Vlaslov (Winslet), Winslet's stand out performance really puts the film together kind of like in last year's Steve Jobs.
Although this dark and gritty cop thriller was almost never made by Australian director John Hillcoat (The Proposition, The Road), mainly because of production problems and loads of actors dropping out. For example Shia LeBeouf became Charlie Hunnam became Casey Affleck for Chris Allen, then Michael B. Jordan became Mackie as Marcus Atwood, Cate Blanchett replaced for Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz for Woody Harrelson.
It's courageous yet patchy in parts but still gets the story through, but not as good as Dennis Villeneuve's criminally underrated Sicario (2015) it still is a gripping and action packed adventure.
These are the reasons why I think this is a must see thriller:
Captivating set-pieces: There are several set-pieces used in the film one of them even takes the film to the next level.
Great Cast: The cast really makes this film people like Chiwetel Ejiofor known 12 Years A Slave, and last years The Martian, Anthony Mackie plays The Falcon in so many Marvel films, Finally the real performance comes from Kate Winslet and her very convincing Russian accent. They make this film a must in my opinion.
Finally with the amazing action and intense set-pieces this film is like Point Break vs Sicario and is truly a once in a life time thriller that will have you gripping your seat from start finish. Although it is not for the weak hearted.
Verdict: If you like Se7en and Animal Kingdom and very dark cop thrillers this is the film for you. 8/10 a must watch.

A beautiful experience
This film tells the
story of a British woman who travels around Arabia to understand the
life in the vast desert. She is undeterred by dangers of war, gangs and
thieves.
The last Warner Herzog film I watched was over ten years ago, and I did not enjoy the experience. "Queen of the Desert", fortunately, is way better than I expected it to be. The scenery of the desert is mesmerising, while the people it portrays are very interesting and very different from the Western civilisation. Cinematography is beautiful, and the film is hence a pleasant experience to watch. I also like the romance between Gertrude and the two gentlemen. It is rather unfortunate that her life is not rewarded with happiness on the romantic aspect. I enjoyed watching this film.

promising actress lost in dramatic story that doesn't show drama
First of all i would
not judge this film to strongly, since we're dealing with a sort of
coming-of-age drama (although not being a real good excuse, right?
producers..?).
When the drama starts of we land in a cliché high school, teenage drama with shy kissing and flat expositions of insecureness etc... The two protagonists are portrayed in their childhood. fair enough. but flat. really flat.
The initial moment of miscommunication between the two protagonists, which is supposed to serve as a foundation for the rest of the drama, is just one single moment of 'both-are-too-shy- to-speak-out-their-love'. It's just one moment, not very dramatic and way too thin to make them be insecure to each other for the rest of their twenties and thirties. From there they loose me...
Important moments, where drama could be cooking and ambivalent moments and intentions - which are the key element for drama - could be exposed, the writer just jumps over those moments and continues the story with only the consequences of that drama... and leaving me dissatisfied. It gives the film very irrational time-leaps. It's like me looking at my girlfriend saying: ...ehh...what just happened? Did i miss something? Contributing to this feeling is the horrible make-up. At some point the story takes a jump of 5 and guess what? Nobody changed. Literally. a few scenes further the make-up must have thought: 'shit, we forgot something!!' and suddenly, out of the blue, Collins has a few gray hairs behind the ears...
Altogether, this makes the flow of the movie slow and unbelievable. It makes the actors being mere puppets then initiators.
With that comes the very dissatisfying acting of Claflin and his love-affairs, as most of the other extra's. Collins stands alone and stands. She is, as far as i can judge, ready for a strong character drama. Promising lady!!

Just fantastic
I will be showing this
film to a lot of people. It is way, way underrated, and incredibly
funny. This is basically a more clever, better written version of Dumb
and Dumber with bodybuilding and crime. If you like the sly social
commentary style of Mike Judge (Idiocracy, Office Space) then you will
love this movie. I gave it 10 stars because it literally made me laugh
out loud dozens of times. It is so well-written, so subtle that it could
easily pass for a straight action/adventure movie with a couple of
gags, when in fact it is a pure comedy, every scene, the entire film.
From the sex toys to the fitness jokes to the straight lines ("I want to
go to Paris and France and stuff"). Quite the scathing satire of our
entitlement culture and its misplaced priorities.

i just signed up so i
can post this review. please do not waste an hour and a half of your
life watching this movie. do anything else instead. This is the first
review of a movie I've ever written and I wouldn't usually do this, but
felt the need to advise people to steer clear of this movie. a bad bad
movie that will leave you with a bad taste. 5.8 or whatever rating this
movie has its way higher than it deserves. Overall this movie was a huge
let down The acting was really over the top at times and so painful to
watch. My advise is, don't see this film, don't waste your time. i don't
know what else to say. and with this i met their requirements of 10
lines of text.

An awful film without a doubt.
I stopped watching this
film after about 30 minutes. It was that crappy. In fact its one of the
worst films I think I've ever seen in the horror genre. For example a
guy is seriously injured but instead of trying to tend to the guys
injuries his pals stand around making small talk in front of a house
they have just broken into because they were in dire need of shelter and
a way to help their injured friend. The bigger horror story here is
that this film even exists. It makes crap movies like Piranha 3D look
like masterworks. Truly a waste of time. Apparently its the filmmakers
first effort-lets hope its his last. Not to be overly cruel the Turkish
adaptation of Star Wars is still a worse film-but not by much. Plenty of
dumb broads in the film but no sex-which is a weird combination. Sex in
a movie isn't a forbidden territory. Anyway-total joke of a film. Stay
away from it completely.

Interesting Premise But Filled With Unlikable Characters
The whole "Woman turns
the table of ruthless killers" thing has been done a lot lately. You're
Next, Preservation, I Spit On Your Grave Remakes, have all done the
theme quite well. So when I read the premise for this film it sounded
like more of the same and I really wasn't too thrilled. But "Intruders"
managed to take that theme and do something pretty interesting and a
little interested with it.
I won't spoil anything but I will say that this isn't just simply a movie about a woman being attacked by men and then turning the tables on them. There are some things thrown in to spice it up a bit and make the movie more suspenseful. However, some of the things that were thrown in felt a little choppy and rushed. It's good that the film makers tried to do some original things but some of them just didn't work.
The movie's weak point is definitely the characters. The baddies are just not interesting at all and the leading female transitions through emotions way too much to ever really gain a connection with the audience. You want to root for her but a lot of her actions are questionable, and plus one minute she will be a ruthless bad ass and then the next she is a babbling victim.
I liked this film, it does enough right to make it an entertaining experience. Unfortunately it misses the ball on being more then just good, if they would have done a few more things right it probably could have been a pretty great horror film.
